I suppose some switchers would say that, if even Sandro Chetcuti is talking of ‘stains’ and openly suggesting a change of government, the situation must indeed be serious; perhaps the PN is right after all and we should give Simon Busuttil a chance.

Obviously one has to be very careful when dealing with such characters, but the electoral impact of a prominent Muscat sponsor going on Net television and stating the government is ‘stained’ cannot be discounted.

The sight of him on the show made me sick. This is the man who doggedly raised as much money as he could for Joseph Muscat, and held lunches and dinners to introduce him around, then RAN UP THE STAIRS of the Office of the Prime Minister with him the day he went in for the first time.

Juncker has the obligation, and duty, to ask Muscat to bring Malta’s policies in line with those of the EU, especially where money laundering and tax evasion are concerned. Malta is not a colony of the EU, true. That’s why it needs to be in line with EU policies because it is part of the union.
