Anyone with a modicum of character assessment would have seen through Joseph Muscat from day one. I certainly did and he worried the s**t out of me. I was right.

While I agree with you that intelligent people who followed carefully Joseph Muscat’s behaviour on becoming leader of the Labour Party should have had doubts about his credentials to be Malta’s Prime Minister, the fact is that these were suspicions and assumptions that were dismissed by supposedly equally intelligent people.

We now have tangible proof that the corruption that was embedded in the MLP in Mintoff’s days is still there, and very much alive.
I agree with your other comment that the Nationalist Party, and especially Simon Busuttil as its leader, must not let any of his MPs, candidates and party officials tarnish the reputation of the party. One rotten apple can ruin a basketful of good apples.

Go tell that to Dr de Marco Daphne. What must the people think of his firm assisting that sleazy Silvio Debono on the ex-ITS site ? No wonder the PN is so quiet about this specific corrupt deal.

That is exactly the thin line that the Nationalist Party is walking on. Labour knows it well enough. It is the reason for grappling here and there on PN officials – Beppe Fenech Adami, Mario DeMarco and now Toni Bezzina.

The latest case of Toni Bezzina is probably highly awkward for Dr. Busuttil. It could very well be the cause of even “the slightest perception” Labour is looking for.
