Actually, they’re not. They’re terrible. Lufthansa’s are beyond awful. But the seats are comfortable and the service is good, the bags are checked right through even with 40 minutes between flights, so who cares about the sandwich. I mean really – just eat at the airport. Who flies for the sandwich.

You’re not paying for it. Air Malta is. The big issue isn’t the bun. It’s whether Air Malta has continued to wreck itself by giving a tender to a crony.

The way this matter is talked about, I’m thinking that Maltese people book their flights for the on-board meals, and that the on-board meals are a really big issue. Do what I do and eat before you fly.
