You are wrong. After 1971 Lou Bondi jumped ship and went to live in Canada. He was a nonentity until the signs were that the PN would return to power in 1987.

He started making noises and even went as far as organising a four-man demonstration for democracy in Malta while living in Toronto.

Note to Lou: I am sure you remember this demonstration with you covering you face with a big brown bag so”as to protect your family in Malta”. Yes, I know.
