A pyramid type scam always runs on commitments that can’t ever fully be kept. That is when renegotiations come in. Mostly parties need to be kept separate so that the one never has full knowledge about what is happening with the other.

The speed at which the renegs happen is crucial – if too many are dissatisfied enough simultaneousky they risk communicating with each other and then the mess ups become visible because people start figuring out that the extent of the lying touches them.

Daphne was and is a main target for this reason and from the earliest onset.

I would dare say, from the time of her argument with Guido de Marco, which was ages ago.

Are we so naive as to think that there was no counter agreement for when Mintoff’s turned “traditur” and got Sant’s Government down?

Panama Papers and Keith Schembri’s terminal illness fall under the role of “the future” which, despite their efforts to buy up witnesses, intimidate and harass elements of resistance and gag the press is not totally under its control.

There will be other instances of course, but without Daphne’s ongoing efforts they would mean next to nothing in the lack of real context we are given by Government.

Daphne is their biggest threat and they have never underestimated her. The rest they can buy. Foreign handlers? They too fall under renegs: Labour’s kitty is lined and there is always more of Malta they can gift.

The I D card scam? Ronald Agius as a fake name? How many Ronald Agiuses have you known?

I’m only disappointed the Opposition could not focus on verification of details earlier – or perhaps it did and waited for the situation to mature, appropriately. I would expect both a list of all the fake numbers resulting, and all those crossed off the electoral list from last elections to now to be publicly available. The latter list should be available at the push of a button.

How can Labour be entrusted to do anything honestly and ethically? That is the bottom line. Finding out about a scam is just the eventual inevitable, not a “mistake” they would have made.

I see your point but do not agree with the conclusion.

Their web could never have anticipated two things: Panama Papers and the deteriorating health of one of the major web spinners.

I also believe that they did not realise the effectiveness of this blog and the tenacity and skill of the person who runs it.

I have a feeling that they have made huge commitments which they will not be able to keep if they do not win the next election. I’m not talking about any of their liaisons with fellow Maltese either. I believe they are very afraid and not of any Maltese operator.

The target here is not Daphne.

That Labour is in panic is evident from the tone of Muscat’s speeches on Sunday and when he speaks in and outside Parliament. He speaks in an angry tone with a loud voice and lies broadly.

I’m not interested in what Laburisti think. They never believe that their great leaders lie.

Clearly they think that DeMarco is a convenient asset for the Labour party and they cannot afford to lose his presence around the leader of the Opposition. This reinforces my belief that DeMarco must go.
