Maltese people in the main have the mind and mentality of a child right into old age. This is intolerable to those who are not that way. They end up feeling as though they are the abnormal ones (because in this surreal context, they are).

You don’t have to translate stuff for people on Facebook. It’s not your job. Your duty to yourself is to make sure that you yourself are informed – for your own sake and no one else’s.

May, the difference is that ACTION WAS TAKEN then and a full investigation was held and the culprits punished. BTW, in that case it was the Police/security services that alerted the Prime Minister Fenech Adami. That is institutional effectiveness.
