He did just come from the airport, but it doesn’t follow that those were his travelling bags. He would have left them in the car.

In reply to Daphne Caruana Galizia. That claim may very easily be verified by comparing the Net TV video with the surveillance videos from the airport terminal. If he did not arrive with both those bags then his lie will be proven. If the shape of the bags and his Whitehall posture is different from that at the terminal then he would have to provide a plausible explanation as to why his bags at Whitehall were so bulky and weighty by comparison.

Hashemenijad claimed to have just landed off a flight from Washington D.C. and gone straight to Pilatus to attend a board meeting.

Let’s assume this meeting lasted at least 1hr + 30min to get out of the airport and drive to Ta’ Xbiex.

A quick search for flights and connections between DCA and MLA shows that:

most flights+connections leaving from DCA on Wednesday that would land in MLA before 19:30 land between 14:00 and 17:00

no flights+connections leaving from DCA on Thursday would actually land in MLA on Thursday

So, that gives him 2hours to go home, freshen up, empty his suitcase and maybe take it with him anyway to the bank, knowing very well that he’d be recorded entering with the suitcase by CCTV.

Not to mention that I’ve done the transatlantic flight too many times myself, and he does look particularly fresh in this video, unlike someone who would have been travelling for around 20hr.

And if there was a board meeting, where were the other attendees? Surely if this was done over VC, he could’ve done it from home, so it had to be an ‘in-person’ board meeting.

In his press conference the Prime Minister made special reference to authenticated documents. If we did not know that he is an honest man, we would be forgiven to think that he knew well that the Pilatus and Nexia BT people were in the process of removing the original documents from their respective premises.
