This is Cardona’s Morton’s Fork. The Tap file will include the Cell ID to which his mobile phone was connected. There are hundreds of cell towers (with unique Cell IDs) between Essen and Velbert.

If he really was not there then this would be the proof that Cardona needs to prove his innocence (as opposed to his minibar bill) and should therefore have no protestations to accede to the request to have the TAP file released and presented in Court (obviously after it is anonymised from third party data).

Daphne Caruana Galizia has every right to request the Maltese mobile operator (as a witness) to testify – and to assist the Court in establishing the truth.

It is becoming clearer every day that Saviour Balzan has a personal agenda which at times contrasts sharply with Malta Today’s substantive stands on most issues where you are directly involved.

Take last Sunday’s issue and compare his views and statements with those of other Malta Today journalists and even the editorial report, and you will confirm this.

I have decided to stop buying and supporting Malta Today until this personal contradictory agenda is removed once and for all.
