If I may butt in with the humble opinion of an quasi-apolitcal animal, I think AD’s point is valid and, if the PN intend such coalition to be a long-term affair (i.e. lasting at least one full legislature) they’d do well to consider AD’s position very carefully and, more importantly, with an open mind.

The current situation is such that it’s not at all important what party is in government after the next general elections. What’s important is that the PL under Joseph Muscat & Co (and I emphasise that qualification) is NOT in government again. If it’s not the PN but the PN and others, so be it. They’d be more than welcome.

There’s also a PR side to the mater, but I will resist the temptation to prolong my contribution to the detriment of others and the moderator’s chagrin.

Really, he should not be upset. You saved him the 500-euro libel lawsuit fee. In the end, whether you got the information or got the information through a subpoena, it is irrelevant. The truth would have been outed.

So Saviour, thank Daphne for saving you the money of a lawsuit and get on with it. A word of advice: find another job that is not so taxing on the brain.

I have not read the law in years but I have a nasty feeling it has to do with an individual and not a company. Why do I say this? Because Savior Balzan’s telephone number is not his but the company’s since they pay for it and hence he cannot use the Data Protection Act in his defense. As an editor ,does he not know these things, I ask myself?
