He was the party whip. The party whip, of all people, has to vote with the whip – because he IS the whip. He could have resigned at that point, but he couldn’t keep the post of party whip and vote against Mizzi.

It’s very telling that the PM used the Swift system with his supporters as verification if transactions when he probably knew the contents of this report. Drop a name to support your claim and the foolish will clap harder.

In reply to tinnat. They also voted for Konrad Mizzi in the vote of confidence - like the rest of them. The only one, at the time that admitted he was voting against his conscience, was Dr. Godfrey Farrugia.

What’s uncertain is whether he will be the first Maltese politician to go to jail

In reply to doreen debono. Edward Scicluna and George Vella are not upright. If they were, they'd have resigned at least 1 year ago. They're seasoned politicians and professionals. They will have smelt this years ago. Yet they did nothing.
