I agree with you both. However, if the “floating voters” felt that there was corruption in the Nationalist Party (seems like a farce now but anyway), unfortunately the PN has to show them that they are a new force and not longer corrupt.

If not, those same “floating voters” will simply elect Labour again. The reality is that the election depends on a few because, in my opinion, hard-core Labour and PN voters will always vote for their party, regardless of what happens. But it’s those 10% that can swing the election.

Although personally I suspect that the “floating voters” used the corruption angle as an excuse! The reality is that they were probably offered some kickback in order to vote Labour last election… and I’m sure the same will happen again.

These demands to see the party leader and candidates and party officials are just another manifestation of Maltese people’s lack of manners and boundaries.

Total lack of consideration for others, and the inability to imagine what pressure they are under.

Just you try meeting a cabinet minister or Opposition leader in any other country outside Malta, because you think it’s your right to complain directly to them and accuse them of arrogance if you are fended off by aides.

Malta is a world unto itself.

Your views are important to the Nationalist Party. You can fix an appointment with a party candidate or the Opposition leader himself to discuss them. I’m sure they will find time to do so.
