I have voted Labour all my life. Having spent 25 years in Opposition criticising how corrupt the Nationalist government is, I expected Labour to behave differently.

Well they did not disappoint. From the first days in office it was becoming clear that an inner circle was controlling everything and grabbing as much power as possible by putting family and close friends members in high positions.

Then a series of shady deals with foreign investors which none where from EU countries and lacking transparency. Although at the time the citizenship by investment program seemed a good idea, even the USA has one after all, in hindsight it was the tip of the iceberg that would lead us to the scandals we are experiencing today where reality is much stranger than fiction.

Then the Panama Papers broke, and watching the prime minister dismiss it as if nothing happened and refusing to let go his beloved peers was too much.

I had no doubt why and who the third company belonged to. How can they look Minister Edward Scicluna in the face when they have been caught avoiding taxes so blatantly.

How can Scicluna, who I consider an excellent minister, work with these people? They should be working as a team.

I was very disappointed by this administration because with all their gaffes and outright dishonesty, they have lost their credibility. They were not even capable of finishing a five-year term in office, after a historic majority win of 36K votes.

Something is stinking badly for them to resort to such measures.

A lot of Labour voters do not seem to believe the prime minister is innocent but will still vote because the country is booming and unemployment is record low.

"Ifotti kemm irid basta rahhas id-dawl u zied il-minimum wage u hawn ix-xoghol" is a typical answer. What they are failing to realize is the damage that is being done to the country in terms of credibility and reputation.

If the finance industry loses credibility, people will leave - and the rental market will also collapse as a result. I cannot be an accomplice to all this corruption, so next election I will gladly vote PN for the first time.

I encourage those who are undecided or disappointed Labour voters to do the same.

Switchers who have finally seen the light have only one task to perform. This is to convince other switchers that the decision taken in 2013 was good in the sense that Malta needed change then, but that they were all deceived as the so called Movement had a different agenda.

The real roadmap was never spelled out. It was a secret pact between God knows how many participants. It may come out sooner or later that the big fish were not even elected in parliament.

The 2013 manifest was described as the road map but it said nothing about the new power station, and the sale of citizenship scheme was merely described as a residence scheme.

I can go on and on.

Between 1971 and 1987 we had Labour governments. How did you work out the Labour Party only governed for 10 years?

Daphne, could you please post us the (in)famous "Me Too" / "I'm sorry Dead" video starring these four characters including Norman Hamilton's daughter and shot in Hugh Anastasi's villa?

The dialogue in that video takes a new significance when seen now, four years plus after the empty premises of the 2013 Labour campaign and will definitely serve as an eye-opener to many of us who should be reminded that "Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me"
