On the one hand, the candidates of the Muscat Party are shown distributing gifts of wine bottles, oranges, hampers, and other things to buy votes. On the other hand, candidates of the Forza Nazzjonali are appealing to prospective voters to donate towards the campaign expenses.

Voters have a choice between being ” naïve natives” accepting shiny useless beads or real patriots contributing towards the well-being of their country.

Kennedy’s famous words come to mind: Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.
