Muscat would have been a ham actor and won no Oscars. People believe him only because they want to, because it suits them in one way or another.

He did fool thousands in 2013 but that wasn’t him: it was the whole campaign. A campaign planned and executed by highly-paid professionals and in which Muscat only put his face as they took care of everything.

When he’s on his own – as when facing journalists – Muscat blurts out lies unconvincingly and stupidly. I don’t know how many times he’s been caught out these past four years and it always happens because he lies impulsively and without realising, or caring, that the truth will eventually come out.
