May be the case for other ‘people like that’ but nothing to do with being flattered and enjoying the attention in Marco’s case. It was about giving the newly elected and still untested PM the benefit of the doubt and hoping that finally there was someone willing to go beyond the lip service paid to environmental issues and the ‘ghandek ragun’ to finally roll up his sleeves and do something – in this case about the dismal situation our water resources are in.

Naive? Maybe. But at least he tried. As he had tried to work with the previous administration. And will continue to try with whoever comes next if they show willing. Only defeatists give up at the get go.
