First, we already all know who most of them are, where they come from and what they are made of, especially those who already served their term in politics.

Secondly, these candidates act as if their lives are special, more hectic and laborious than ours, their children making and spouses making special sacrifices to allow them to work hard for us.

The truth is the Maltese work force works as hard, and not only during election time. We do not have time for selfies, time for reflection, time to wear our tuxedos to special parties, and take photos with friends and family whilst dining out in Brussels or on our luxury vacations.

We are busy earning a living and sweating blood to make ends meet. We are being asked to suck up to our candidates, feel pity for them through social media, only to elect a bunch of crooks whose sole intention is to fuck us over and forget about us.

My plea is for all candidates from all parties to stop the crap, roll up their sleeves, smell the coffee and prove their worth if any.
