She should have known better than to join them. The very concept of having someone brainwash you day and night should have made her see that free thought and expression are far more valuable.

She learned a very hard life lesson that she should never let herself be used as a pawn. That is not the purpose of becoming a politician. The benefits are far outweighed by a sense of guilt as you try to support a criminal gang who have their priorities set in ransacking the country and undermining its institutions.
