His refusal to face the committee is even more scandalous than the summons themselves. He comes across as someone with too many skeletons in his closet.

Joseph Muscat’s egocentricity came out very clearly again today in his reaction to Magistrate Aaron Bugeja’s decision re Keith Schembri and Brian Tonna.

Rather than concentrating on taking immediate and unequivocal (and very long overdue) decisive action in disciplining Schembri and Tonna, something which would have been the natural action to expect from real leaders such as Eddie Fenech Adami, Lawrence Gonzi or Simon Busuttil – he ignores that aspect completely and instead continues protesting his and his wife’s innocence.

It’s going to be difficult for Dr. Muscat to explain to the PANA committee that on his instructions he had a declaration of trust made in favour of his wife without her even being aware of it.
