I insist, sure enough they are accountants by all means, but they were not only taking care of the accounts of Keith Schembri’s, Adrian Hillman’s and Malcolm Scerri’s companies but also AUDITING them (amongst several other companies in this mix, including Egrant).

This gives them a greater responsibility (legally and ethically if not morally) than had they been only working out the accounts of the above companies rather than auditing them.
