It is Muscat who is surrounded by inept and incompetent people, which is why he has ended up in this MASS. Of course, it doesn’t help at all that they are also seriously corrupt.

If it were ignorance alone, then the law of averages/law of large numbers would dictate that the Nationalist Party has a similar level of support from ignorant people, but it doesn’t.

If people are attracted to a political party through ignorance and not through rational choice, then there is no reason why they should be more attracted to Labour than to the Nationalist Party – if by definition they are ignorant, then they have not made a rational choice of one over the other.

I think the real reason is malign, but I don’t wish to go into it here because too many people will be upset.
