The solution is to fight it, not to collude with it. If you collude with it, it will go on forever. Can you imagine somebody in Denmark saying, “I had better not speak about politics in public, or I won’t get that permit I applied for.”

Why would your company fail because you speak out. I didn’t notice Richard Branson saying, “Oh no, I’d better not speak out against Brexit and for Remain, because Virgin might slide into bankruptcy.”

Come off it. Nobody could possibly be more politically outspoken than I am, but my magazine is actually one of the few that has survived the apocalyptic collapse in print advertising revenue. Marion Mizzi is a Labour Party candidate. Her beauty salons are doing fine. Do you need any more examples? Look at all those members of parliament – what do you think they do for a living?

And on the other side of things we have the “big” party organisers supporting the disgusting Labour Party because they are guaranteeing permits for anything they want.

Many Maltese people give the word “greed” a whole new meaning. They do not care about Malta or about corruption. They only care about their pockets. What a seriously sick country we live in.
