Prince Jean is one of the most controversial members of Luxembourg’s Grand Ducal family. In 1986, for some mysterious reason, he had to renounce his right to the throne.

His two wives were not given the title of Princesses of Luxembourg and his children were not given any titles at birth, although their grand father created them counts and countess and later Princes and Princess of Nassau before he abdicated.

Prince Jean has a lot of business interests in real estate, finance, water services and management and energy. This meeting looks very fishy. Prince Jean’s presence does not give it any respectability.

Carl Bernstein (Watergate, Nixon) said yesterday that he thinks it’s more difficult for journalists to work today than it was during the Nixon era.

Fewer people are interested in the “best obtainable version of the truth,” he said. Instead, he said they look for information on both sides to support what they already believe.

How sadly true.

It says a lot about the intellectual abilities and moral standards of the average Labour voter, that there has not been an open revolt against those who hijacked the Labour Party and that there has not been a dramatic exodus of members out of the Labour Party as soon as the massive corruption and even worse the cover up by the state institutions , was exposed.
