If Labour wins again it means that it is perfectly fine for some EU nations to endorse corruption rather than good governance. This would be a bad name for the EU. Please encourage everyone to vote for a truly independent police force and a clean government by voting ForzaNazzjonali!

You are all that is good in our country – let us hope thousands of us, in the silence and privacy of the polling booth, do what is right by our country.

We ARE back in 1987, only it’s an updated version.

I never said I’m a non-believer. That’s the usual mistake Maltese people make when other Maltese people are lapsed Catholics: they assume it’s because they’re non-believers.

These days I’m living what I went though in the run-up to the 1987 election. I was 10 at the time and the fear, the lingering fear of the previous years still haunts me. It is no different now.

There is no physical violence but the war has moved online, and make no mistake, it is a war. I have deliberately never grown out of that feeling – I don’t want to forget what corruption can do to a nation, what freedom costs and how easy it is to throw it all away just on a whim.

I had doubts about Simon Busuttil four years ago. I thought he was not up to the job. How dreadfully wrong I was. He is a warrior. He is an honest, intelligent warrior. That is what we need now.

Fenech Adami was what we needed back in 1987 and the decade before that tumultous year. Simon Busuttil IS the man for now.

Simon, whatever happens, you MUST stay on. Daphne is right about this. In just four years, you reunited the party, delivered a slick and perfect campaign in response to a snap election, and showed us that there is hope for Malta.

May Forza Nazzjonali win on Saturday – but if it doesn’t, Malta would have gained an honest politician and we will get rid of corruption sooner (I believe) rather than later.

Well done for today’s billboard. It made me so proud! So, so proud that I was never, ever fooled.

May good prevail. May honesty prevail. May real politics prevail.

And, finally, Daphne, I know you’re a non-believer but I’m a believer and I do believe that is-sewwa, fl-ahhar, jirbah. I pray to God, here even on your platform, in your living room, as it were, that he deliver us from this evil which has taken root in this country.

Enlighten each voter, dear Lord, to choose good over evil. And allow us to thank you for giving us the right people at the right time.

May I take this opportunity today, before anyone knows what the outcome of this election is going to be, to say: any way it goes, I want to thank you, Daphne, and your son Matthew, for everything you have done for us these past four years.

These last couple of months other media have joined you in researching hidden information and publishing it. It is to be commended but it only happened these last few months. Before that you were alone.

There is no need for me to go into the details of what you and your family had to go through when insults and worse were hurled at you by the dozen.

If it weren’t for you, we would not be here today, supporting the Nationalist Party which has literally been born again out of the ashes. So remember all of you out there, Daphne was the prime mover, the one who weathered it out when she was a lonely voice in the desert of this ‘democratic’ country called Malta.

We owe you big time, and stay safe.
