I was about to ask you, incidentally, whether several members of the faction are using this Disqus account, because the difference in language between one comment and another is noticeable.

Do buzz off. This isn’t Facebook. And if you really believed so passionately in Adrian Delia, you would use your real name.

And if you think the current situation means the Opposition is “split” then clearly you have a very short perspective on political history. In 2008 the Labour Party was literally destroyed, but it won a general election handsomely five years later.

And you obviously know or remember nothing of the fearsome and potentially destabilising major tensions between Prime Minister Fenech Adami and his deputy PM Demarco.

I hope for everybody’s sake that Adrian Delia has the support of far more solid and grown-up people.

On the other hand, we have no way of knowing whether your ‘ziemel’ Adrian Delia – who you hope to ride into power through the unguarded gate of the Nationalist Party – has been correct in his political observations, because he has made none.

He is, quite frankly, utterly uninformed and totally useless – which is why he is relying 100 per cent on the backing within the party of Jean Pierre and Kristy Debono, who also appear to be playing a power game.

As for the rest, it’s so melodramatic that it reads like nothing other than a stalking-horse for your punchline about how a lazy lawyer who has never worked in politics has heard a calling from God to save the Nationalist Party.

Please spare me. I’m a rational person.

I try to do that but I end up pulling my hair out.

This is the problem when people are not informed (and please, I don’t mean you but I’m speaking in general): they reach conclusions which are false.

I can tell that people are looking at Adrian Delia and saying ‘ah, the new Joseph Muscat’ (as though that is somehow a good thing). But Joseph Muscat began fighting the Nationalist Party at the age of 18 in 1992. He fought the Nationalist Party – openly, on all the Labour media and within the Labour Party structures – for a full 16 years before he became leader of the Opposition.

There isn’t a journalist or politician aged 40+ who doesn’t remember him bitching and kvetching with tu quoque retorts at Eddie Fenech Adami’s press conferences, on Super One TV, on Super One radio, in the Labour-leaning newspapers and writing books about ‘Nationalist government scandals’ for Sensiela Kotba Socjalisti.

This is the important point, the bottom line, and you really have got to register it.
