Given the very high political profile and nature of this investigation, surely both she, and the person who assigned her to the post, had a moral duty to the public to ensure there was no such obvious conflict of interest?

A quick five to ten minute confidential meeting between her and the person who assigned her would have negated her appointment, as she too had a moral obligation and should have made her strong political leanings known and thus refused the assignment.

Her very public political declarations on social media, show exactly where her political leanings lie and how serious her support for the Labour Party is.

These very public declarations will have now violated the public’s trust as to the honesty and principled impartiality of all those involved.

The whole situation is absolutely farcical. No wonder Malta is ridiculed and scorned.
