I fully agree with you. What I find worse than muddled thinking is deliberate muddled argumentation aimed at deceiving people which is typical of people like Manuel Cuschieri and his boss.

My point was different. We need the party to come out a bit more forceful, full pressure on these crooks from day one. Enough with priedki tat-tifel, u hafna espressjonijiet ta’ staghgib bhal “Qas titwemmen!!”, u “Lil min tmur tghidha bawxata bhal din”. Stop the soft-speak. It’s annoying.

I occasionally watched ‘discussion’ programmes on Labour’s TV’s station and also noted the same lies repeated. What happens is that Labour trolls pick the lies from TV and then repeat them online. Lies are repeated often over many months and even years and eventually they are taken as facts.

Concurrently Labour goes out of its way to discredit anyone who criticises it. We have seen this happen with The Malta Independent, the Times of Malta (after Adrian Hillman had been forced out), Mrs. Caruana Galizia and anyone else who is effectively critical of Labour.

Labour has even tried to discredit the Archbishop, Charles Scicluna, for the same reason. That leaves a substantial part of the population reliant on Labour’s media for their information sources, because everyone else is perceived to be not credible.

The PN should consider setting up a desk tasked to pick out these lies and rebut them by giving out the correct information, possibly in the same media sources where they are said.

Lying is a political weapon of choice of Labour and I think it was a mistake that the Nationalist Party did not try to rebut those lies, or even worse that they accepted some of them as facts.
