The turnout in the Brexit referendum last June was 72.2%. Millions of young voters did not bother to vote because it was considered cool to not get involved in dino politics.

They did not even dream that the result would be Brexit means Brexit.

When May called a general election to strengthen her hand in a hard Brexit negotiation those young voters were given the opportunity they were longing for. They could thwart May's devilish plans by voting Labour and at the same time neutering Theresa May in her Brexit negotiations.

It was not because they fancied that moron Corbyn that they voted Labour. Their only intention was to destroy May and they succeeded brilliantly.

None of the experts she engaged saw this happening. But it happened nonetheless.

Whoever was running British Labour's social media did a terrific job, I thought. They really managed to convey the urgency of the situation to Britain's youth in a way that energised and pushed them to the polling booth.

Corbyn's Labour is also committed to leaving the EU so the young, who now turned up to vote, are too late. The most that can be hoped for is a "soft" Brexit.

Bullshit. She "lost" simply because she did the most stupid thing possible and that was to assume she could get away with taxing well-off pensioners - and indirectly their offspring.

Inheritance tax is unjust anyway, and to make pensioners pay for their care when they have paid tax and national insurance all their lives is well out of order.

Their offspring would lose a big chunk of their inheritance, so they were alienated as well. Home-owning pensioners are traditionally conservative voters, rather than council-house dwelling Labour voters.

"You do not bite the hand that feeds you" is the saying, is it not? These people worked hard all their lives to enjoy a good retirement and she wanted to take it away from them.

Imagine if Corbyn had said he would cut benefits. His vote share would plummet.

A family friend voted Labour for the first time in her life for this very reason, and my parents very nearly did as well.
