I’m sorry, but you’re wrong. You cannot ‘believe’ in gay marriage. You can only approve of it or agree with it. Gay marriage is a fact, and not a belief system.

Belief exists (or not) only where there are no facts. Facts are indisputable and belief does not come into play around them.

“Nemmen fil-Partit Nazzjonalista” is wrong, too (I hate to upset you, but I’m actually pretty good at language and usage), because the Nationalist Party is not a religion. It is a political party. Political parties are supported and not believed in. The fact that there is no Maltese verb for the English “to support” is a problem, but the problem is not solved by saying that you believe in the Nationalist Party.

You can believe in God, of course, but you know for a fact that the Nationalist Party exists.
