I am correct, I’m afraid. Popular usage does not mean correct usage: look at how Maltese people think that the English ‘scope’ means ‘aim or purpose’. It doesn’t.

I too am fed up. Just remove this tradition and those who feel the need to pray for God’s guidance to help them with their work during the coming term in parliament should do so privately. Just don’t drag the likes of Konrad Mizzi and Chris Acapulco Cardona into it.
