As things stand, the Nationalist Party is filtering out Simon Busuttil – who by his own standards has resigned, and keeping those such as Demarco and Said – whose personal standards are a far cry less rigourous and who should have long cleared their desks.

No use just wondering why elections are lost, if there is no assiduous, deliberate and systematic will to win them with the tools of one’s own game.
