Maltese people are not well educated. Where on earth did you get that idea? The last time most Maltese people read a book was when they were forced to do so for their English literature O-level. And if they didn’t sit for their O-level, well, then, you get the picture.

That’s also the reason why so few Maltese can write even a coherent paragraph.

I’m glad the Nationalist Party doesn’t make a special case of Muslims. That’s one of the reasons I support it: people are individuals, whether they are gay, Muslim or women, or whatever else is the ghetto-factor of the month.

When you make special cases of people, as the Labour Party does, you show that you are marking them out as different. Muslims are just more people.

In reply to A Gatt. Frank Portelli is no longer in the Nationalist Party. I think he made that clear before the 2013 general election, when he seemed to spend most of his time on the Labour Party's TV station, giving the Gonzi government a bad name.

Muslims have unfortunately never been fashionable with Frank either. His presence in the Nationalist Party irks me as does that of Josie Muscat.
