Has it occurred to you that perhaps they were NEVER able to make a rational decision, and that they only ever voted Labour out of standard habit, because they are political fans?

People who have never had to actively decide which political party to support tend to be like that. They have never had to think about it, like those who were raised in religion and never got to choose it, but won’t switch to another religion instead.

The majority (Labour and Nationalists) were never against corruption or appalled by it. It was simply a matter of jostling for a position of power that would enable them to fleece and gorge as much as they can, themselves.

This greed and lust for wealth was always there, but never so evident and out in the open. And never ever, on this scale.
