Without the ” thugs” Eddie. Fenech Adami would have been killed . Different situstion altogether. From whom is Censu L-Iswed going to defend Delia – Joseph Muscat armed with his flip-flops? If we were back in those days Delia would not put himself forward to be the saviour. He would have been cowering at home, counting his debts.

Maybe, just maybe, this whole mess will serve a purpose. Maybe after this, the electorate will stop using a ‘two weights, two measures’ approach towards the two main parties, because there really won’t be much difference between them.

Or maybe I’m just being overly optimistic.

I am utterly disgusted by Alexander Borg Olivier’s rooting for Delia as the next Nationalist Party leader. I knew George Borg Olivier well as a perfect gentleman with an acute sense of judgement. He made wise decisions and he was almost always right and on the money.

Alexander will not elect Delia, the card-carrying members will. At this sensitive time, the best Alexander could have done was to keep his trap shut.
