I don’t agree with you. The taking a coffee and talking informally between Delia (or any other PN leader, Minister etc who happens to be a professional) with another similar professional who is PL leaning, has PL clients, defends PL ministers etc., is on the basis of collegiality and not on a political basis. But when in court or in parliament or any other political scenario than it is a different matter and Delia or whoever will fight his case etc. to the best of his abilities. I see that you are seeing a form of conflict of interest or similar in Delia because he is talking to Gatt, (in his posititon as candidate for PN leader). . I dont agree there is any conflict of interest nor see anything strange in their talking over a coffee. You might not agree. However to further your line of thought, than it would be wrong for Lawyer A to talk with Lawyer B if they are representing opponent clients in a law suit…. And it would be wrong if Joseph Muscat and Simon Busuttil met by co-incidence in some coffee shop or whatever and one called the other over and they shared a table together….. I think this is too extreme a line of thought….

Delia is a Joseph Muscat wannabe who does not even have a vague idea of what the Nationalist Party represented in the last fifty years and of what its standards and policies are. He does not even care really.

Unfortunately for Malta this is a disaster on two levels. First of all because in a two-party system it basically means that Malta will be taken over by money-hungry corrupt individuals with no care for anything except paying their debts and lining their pockets and taking their new money to Panama the British Virgin Islands or God knows which other fashionable tax haven.

Secondly, Malta is so small that it cannot afford not care about anything (environment, good taste, serenity) except for what the Maltese are interpreting as “well-being” and “progress”.

Last week a Maltese columnist wrote that Malta does not have a Paris. No, Malta does not have a London, Malta does not have the Alps or the Dolomites or stretches of uncominated beaches. Malta does not have lakes or miles and miles of natural parks and forests.

Malta is the size of a small European town and so it cannot afford to get have clutter and atrocities on every corner, to lose its soul to become “hamalli tal-flus land” through and through with dust, aridity and traffic slapping you in the face as soon as you land there.

In ten years of Keith Schembri and the like governing Malta through Muscat and/or Delia, there will be nothing left.
