Except for one thing though, I never indulged myself in the “pleasures” of gossiping. But this is more a personal character thing, as gossiping is not limited to Malta. (gossiping as the driving force needing to know all about your neighbours and in this case political persons)

I think the problem is that you are German. If I went to live in Stuttgart, I would not expect to under the intricacies of social and political life there, or the connections between people. I would find it immensely difficult.

Well Daphne, it is what we citizen grant public figures on private live. We can play or support the paparazzi or we do not. I for one am not interested what public people do in their private live. Unfortunately the yellow press is living well from those who are interested.

To make it clear, I do not associate you with the yellow press at all. But even for investigative reporters there should be responsible limits. It is in the power of the investigative reporter to decide when to publish information and under which pretext.

I don’t mind you connecting dots, but please enlighten your readers, which dots you are connecting. Maybe I’m too foolish or ignorant (or what else you threw at me during our ping-pong discussion) to read between your lines.
