I am not sure if I will vote Nationalist again. However, if I do, these three months have been very revealing, and there are quite a few candidates/MPs for whom I will not vote or discourage other people (depending on the districts) from voting.

If only I could believe him, I would ask him who he voted for in the last general elections. I have no doubt that he voted Labour and may I add that Alexander Borg Olivier did the same.

At least it is real – two strong women who are sticking to their guns and staying the course, unlike most men in leadership positions in the country. Not the pseudo feminism like we’ve seen from Labour’s “most feminist government in history”.

I think it goes deeper than that. At this point Adrian Delia is in a deep hole and not just financially. In the last few weeks he has lost his reputation, has been revealed as a bankrupt chancer who laundered money from a prostitution racket and the Lord knows what else.

I also think there might be problems on the home front. His wife must at least be asking questions and possibly seeking to protect her position. She is an intelligent woman, after all, and if she wasn’t aware of the financial situation before, she certainly is now.

Becoming the Nationalist Party leader might seem to be his only way out at this point, although I would think that he is ignoring the pressures and heightened scrutiny that he would be facing.

My belief is that he already had some sort of agreement with the Mafia in the Office of the Prime Minister and some of his main backers deep within the Nationalist Party, mainly Jean Pierre and Kristy Debono, who would have seen in an electoral defeat a way to satisfy their own personal ambitions.

Somehow or other he was identified as the best patsy to be the front man. And when he goes down the Nationalist Party will have its own intended salvatur: Jean Pierre Debono.
