People ignore the fact that our values and attitudes are shaped growing up, either by our parents or in opposition to them, but usually by the former. Adrian Delia was raised in a Labour household. And it shows. If he stuffed leaflets into envelopes in 1987, I’ll tell you that it was almost certainly because he wanted to keep in with his crowd of friends.

Chris Said and Alex Perici Calascione are infinitely better than Adrian Delia and Frank Portelli, for reasons that should be so obvious they don’t have to be explained.

None of them is set to win the next general election, so on that understanding, you have to choose the one who is going to be the better leader of the Opposition – and it’s obviously not Delia because he’s not going to fight, for example, Chris Cardona or Keith Schembri.

Somebody who turns a blind eye to corruption or does not consider it a factor in his or her rationalisation, is not necessarily corrupt. He or she could also be a complete idiot or perhaps a person who is not directly impacted by it and seriously lacking of social conscience.
