And he and his wife are sureties in their own personal name for the whole sum. How does he plan to divest himself of that and who would be crazy enough to be the divestee?

Apart from the fact that the bank’s legal right to take action against whichever one of the sureties it chooses to for the whole sum, makes him a good target for pressure by those who might have an influence on the bank’s decision.

A deed of constitution of debt is incontrovertible evidence of great financial difficulties and looming bankruptcy. If Delia’s supporters don’t understand what it means and wish to pretend it does not exist, then they are even crazier than I thought.

It’s a refection of the national intellectual laziness, which in itself is a by-product of the low level (flop) of education in Malta.
