I, too, belong to the key minority – not so small, I would say – on which the Nationalist Party depends and which will eventually give it back the self-respect it has now unashamedly thrown to the wind in choosing Deliar as its leader by however narrow a margin.

I belong to the key minority on which the Nationalist Party depends for its very survival. Without the support of this key minority, the Nationalist Party is finished. It bled thousands of those votes already. It cannot afford to bleed any more.
