In Malta, it fills afternoon TV with experts blabbing on awareness and behavioural ‘sciences’ as the host, fresh curls by Clapton and nails by Katyusha grins at the camera.

This place had 14 years or real-socialism, textbooks promoting equality of outcome, victimhood and fatalism, the classic humanities were banned in the name of progressive critical theory and all professions were reduced to utilitarianism.

No wonder we’re brutes.

In reply to Joe Fenech. Having said this, no one can take on Muscat. People will only stop voting Labour when the bubble explodes and the economy progressively crumbles. The Maltese's universe centres around money. They don't give the slightest damn about the environment or corruption and can't understand how this affects their lives and well-being. The PN’s strength seems to have always relied on its leader. The problem is when there is no one to take over, the party is in deep water.

Busuttil’s resignation was a mistake as it made Labour stronger. He might not have been a super leader, but he was the symbol of clean politics and reason which compensated the madness that is going on.
