Nobody who thinks a fraud and crook like Delia is the solution can be defined as clever. If you think those who are backing Delia are “clever”, then you haven’t noticed the common factor that I have done: that those who are backing Delia are the bluntest knives in the drawer.

The smartest, sharpest people are all completely against him. What does that tell you – that they’re “the Establishment”? That they’re pulled along by “hidden hands”?

No. It’s because they’re sharp. And sharp people make sharp assessments of other people and situations.

Wrong and wrong. Being able to recognise the fact that the Nationalist Party needs a new way to go forward does not make you a backstabber. It just makes you clever enough to move on, adapt, regain popularity and become relevant again – something which we all know that can never happen with Chris Said as a leader.

Simon Busuttil made the impossible possible as he widened the gap with the most corrupt government Malta has ever had. Obviously no one wants that to happen again therefore admitting the need for change does not make you a backstabber.

Had the Sliema residents, especially around the Berkeley brothel area, known that he was one of the customers that kept the brothel going – yes, no customers, no brothel – he certainly wouldn’t have got their votes.

May I ask how Pierre Paul Portelli knew what the ‘going rate’ was to abuse a vulnerable woman slightly older than him. Did he actually think that by paying the ‘going rate’ he was absolved of his abuse?

Any fiancée should be thankful to have found out before the next step.

They didn’t have to work for anyone. They did their bit. And a man of integrity would have stepped away from Delia the minute he began attacking Busuttil, calling their former colleagues ‘the kilkka’ and insulting the Nationalist Party and those who work for it. But Pierre Paul Portelli has no integrity. The point here is that the man you are at 22 is the man you are at 35, and anybody who thinks differently has no life experience.

Dr Busuttil is not a candidate for PN leadership which basically left them a choice between Perici Calascione, Portelli, Said and indeed Delia. They chose the latter.

I have no involvement in the PN or any other political party but had I been involved I too would have been all out supporting Dr Busuttil during the elections.
