In reply to Daphne Caruana Galizia. True, we as usual wanted to do better then the rest of Europe, so we gave up our religious beliefs. Well we threw out the baby with the dirty water. This mess is what we are left with. And then we are astonished by the lack of values of our youth. This is what we taught them. Money is the only God, hence corruption is the order of the day. Hoorah.

Maltese people never had any morals or principles, you know. They had rules taught in the context of religion, which is absolutely not the same thing. Once religion loses its grip, then that’s it.
