If you are really a woman you should know that with Chris Fearne at the helm three consultants in the Obstetrics and Gynae department have retired and one is expected to retire in the next couple of months, yet not one of them has yet been replaced.

Nurses are not being replaced in the Obs and Gynae outpatients department and nurses in this same department are being threatened that they will be replaced by nursing aids who should NOT work unless under the supervision of nurses.

Women asking for anomaly scans are being told that there is a waiting list weeks long unless they go privately to one of the remaining consultants, where they will then jump queues, be seen as add-on patients not subject to quotas, are eligible to be seen by the most seniour doctors, before anyone of us lesser mortals.

Just nip over and watch consultants leave by 11am or not come in at all because they are ‘elsewhere’.

I have had four grandchildren born within the last year AND had gynae issues myself and I can say that women are really getting the short end of the stick.

Chris Fearne indeed!
