In reply to Stop and think. Well, it's sad, very sad. I actually totally understand that. My advice is flip flops are multi purpose, and really good for whacking gits like Delia round the head - if she owns some.

Well then, maybe just maybe if she is allowed to speak, she will tell us all about herself. By the way it’s not trashing, I just don’t think from what I know, or other women who I consider to be strong, that she can be classed as such, unless of course putting a smile on her face while her husband is being an idiot is classed as strong. In that case, she rocks.

I’m afraid that from this point on it’s going to be about as possible to leave Mrs Delia out of it as it is to leave Mrs Muscat out of it. They are now both extremely public persons and both under scrutiny. If that didn’t occur to them before, it is yet another example of how they have no experience of politics and public life. If they didn’t want the heat, they shouldn’t have entered the kitchen.

Nothing strong about this one. I tell you what a strong woman is: one who gets up at 4am, takes the rubbish out, drops her daughter off at work at 4.30am, returns, showers, gets her granddaughter fed and cleaned, takes them to nursery, then does a full day’s work.

When I arrive home I clean my own house, my daughter cooks the evening meal, I fix the bathroom sink when it blocks, change the tyres on my car, pay the rent, the bills, buy the food, walk around in flip-flops as I’m not about to bust an ankle for anyone.

In our home we work hard, laugh a lot, we share the workload. I’m single through no fault of my own, but I’m strong and so are my daughters so they can stuff their ideas of a pedicured manicured mannequin being the representative of strong. I need to see some hard skin on the bottom of your feet and a few broken finger nails to believe that.

In the meantime I’m going to eat cheese on toast before I put some oil in the car, hoover it out and then wash the dog.
