The more they delay, the clearer it becomes where the probable fault lies. As from next week Dr. Busuttil will be pursuing the case in his personal name but he can rest assured, with the support of many.

In reply to EarthwormDave. And my eternal support to see that these cases are concluded with justice and without further delay which is a denial of justice. I really wonder why Joseph Muscat and his crony friends keep doing their utmost not to face justice if they are so convinced that they are absolutely innocent.

Luck is what happens when you recognise a good deal and grab it with both hands because it will be some time before you get that opportunity again. The Nationalist Party was so very lucky to have had Simon Busuttil as leader.

However, I believe the real Nationalist Party, not the hungry power-seekers, threw their luck in the garbage when they didn’t embark on a mission to persuade him to stay on. What a loss this is already proving to be.

So, he wasn’t perfect. So what. Show me a great man who’s perfect. Dr. Busuttil was at the embryonic stage of politics. Intelligent, quick learner, he’s already proved to rise above his natural shyness to motivate thousands of law-abiding citizens with his vision of a better Malta.

I remember Dr. Fenech Adami who was no Wow. He turned into a statesman other countries would have dreamt of having.

Dr. Busuttil wasn’t elected leader with a brief to overturn a massive bleeding of Nationalist votes, but to reconnect with members who had been ready to give a new face a chance and bring them back into the fold with an honest persuasion. He was our hope for rebuilding the crumbling core which had been left to its own fortunes. Something which only he could have done.

He represented the cleanest option available to politics. Those who did not appreciate him were the ones who vouch they’re in politics “for the people” whilst everybody knows they’re in it for their own benefit.

The current situation is proof of all this. I have never witnessed a leadership election campaign with this level of dirt and shame. Why would a man want to lead the very party he himself is vilifying? Because he is on his way to hijacking it and making it his own.

What a bleak situation we’re all in because of this greed for power and possession.
