Good manners are always good manners. A man should have the good sense to know that launching an assault on or issuing a challenge to a woman in a personal capacity comes across very badly, ESPECIALLY (not the despite the fact that) when he is a politician and she is a journalist. Because then you don’t only have the factor of a man being vicious to a woman. You also have the factor of a politician launching an assault on a journalist.

The world has evolved since then. Women obtained the right to vote and have long been vying to be treated as man’s equals.

Not there yet but in certain aspects women have surpassed men. If it was good for men to duel, then women should duel as well.
