To me, he’s just another Joseph Muscat but not as smart and without the political exoerience. And I will not be fooled again unlike it seems most others.

Who to, other than pensioners, disillusioned and resentful middle-aged people like him and a bunch of ageing thugs? You do understand, I hope, that he has zero appeal to non-working class young people. And that, for the Nationalist Party, is a very real problem.

Believe me, because I have constant direct experience of people in their 20s and 30s.

he manages to project himself as new and fresh to the public. in politics this is crucial. you, of all people, should know this. he is seen as the outsider who can bring something new to the pn. i’m not saying he will be making things right, but people have had enough and are ready to take the risk after two consecutive electoral trashings.

Delia IS the old guard. You just haven’t noticed. The man is my age, for God’s sake – hardly a spring chicken. I sometimes think these people keep having babies into their 40s so that they can seem ‘young’. The reality is that he is three years older than my parents were when I got married, and the age I was when I had sons of almost 30.

and this is pn’s problem today. the old guard keeps pushing the old ideals up, but people are not interested. jm clearly knows this. and i think delia does too.

now its up to you nationalists; either change and match the modern way or else go extinct. believe me, i would not want this to happen to you. but it will.

Fascism was supposed to have been permanently laid to rest after the horrors of the Second World War. Now it has being resurrected in Putin’s Russia, Malta’s Labour Party, Brexit Britain, Trump’s USA, Orban’s Hungary, Kaczynski’s Poland and now Delia’s rump Nationalist Party in Malta.

Our ideals and principles are not dead. They are still flourishing in Western Europe and will do so again in Britain and the US after their shambolic flirtation with the evil ideology of Brexit and Trumpism.

I would like to go down on record as having said I was being sarcastic with that comment. I am nearly sure that you got it, but I can’t be sure that it was perfectly clear to everyone else.
