Most people are not able yet to distinguish between a ‘Person’ and what a person does or says.
One cannot agree or diagree with someone unless that someone says or does something. Therefore when there is a diagreement, it is with what has been said or done and not with the person who said it or done it. In fact the next time round you may find yourself completely in agreement with what the same person said or done.
As regards to respect for the dead, again this means that one does noy hate the person himself or dehumanize him as a person after death, BUT on the other hand you may completly detest the ‘legacy’ that was left after death.
