The recent appointments with Airmalta should come as no surprise. Joe Gasan’s niece has been helping Michelle with her wardrobe, married into the family said to be after the “out of stocks medicines etc.” Is this Louis’ group? Straight into Louis’ territory?

In fact many things should come as no surprise, since the NP’s leadership was seen as indecisive and lacking class style, or recognition, and wasn’t that of certain families who were ignored even by Mintoff. Family histories have been ignored, for far too long, by NP analysts, advisors and politicians alike. It was rich for the picking.

Let’s hope that ears are pricking. No use saying trust has to be earned when the opposing tactics have foundations that were long since laid. The offensive has to be more forceful. No more nice guy speak. Actions are what will speak. Determine what will speak loudest. My choice would be an investigative press that links to all of these sectors. Useless not knowing family backgrounds and connections of all sorts. No use putting another non-entity to that sort of job.

Determine whose voice, known to be linked in the past to Norman Lowell private parties is still silent and hasn’t been publicly rewarded.

Interesting nonetheless that JM didn’t give the Airmalta placements to the John Bencini type. There are sectors that can’t afford to fail.

We’ll see what the picture is 11 months down the line.

Only a few weeks ago we all heard Dr. Muscat, then leader of the opposition, promising everyone that his government would follow in the PN footsteps and build a new school every year.

Today the minister of education announces that what his leader promised a few weeks ago was all hot air. There is not enough money for new schools.

Whose in charge Evarist Bartolo or Dr. Joseph Muscat, who promised a few weeks ago to keep to the school for tomorrow programme to build a new school every year.

Maybe Dr. Muscat thought squandering one hundred million euros more on salaries for his chosen inner circle more important then our children’s education. This is very similar to 1996 when Labour promised not to touch the student’s stipends, and then the same Evarist Bartolo tells the students that the stipends are only a loan.

Evarist Bartolo made Dr. Sant look an idiot then, and now he’s making you Dr. Muscat look a complete idiot, after all the promises you made just a few weeks ago before the election.

And please don’t speak about there being no money, because you found the money to dish out to that load of amateurs you promoted to your cabinet.
