Let’s face it: Labour was bankrupt before Joseph Muscat made his agreement and commitments with China in 2010. Now if he is forced not to deliver this law, Labour is bankrupt “wahda w sew”.

Times of Malta is still not giving due importance to this Shame-Scheme as it ought to be doing. At least, when compared with the coverage it gave to the Arlogg tal-Ministru, this is just a trickle.

We know what international media are saying; we can read and search. What’s important here is Times of Malta’s own stand.

Not being familiar with the details of Maltese politics, all international media are assuming that Malta intends to sell passports to earn some funds “because it is bankrupt”.

They have no idea that Joseph Muscat wants – needs – to repay those who helped him gain power. And this is much more disturbing, of course.

That Karmenu Vella denied everything. He even had the effrontery to claim that “not everything that is printed is true.”

He says Malta’s reputation hasn’t been dented at all.
